Premium quality fetal bovine serum is derived from Australian blood, to collect cattle from Australia high quality pasture, through 8 months old fetal bovine heart puncture blood, through centrifugation and three 0.1 micron filtration production process, and through a number of quality i ndicators detection, including BVD and a series of virus testing, mycoplasma, endotoxin, performance, biochemical analysis. This level of serum contains growth factors necessary for embryonic development and is low in immunoglobulin.

Gamma radiation can effectively inactivate the possibly contaminated virus and mycoplasma in serum. The irradiation dose was 30 ~ 45KGy. Moreover, this dose of gamma radiation does not change the physical and chemical properties of serum or the effects on cell culture.
